  1. 01I'm not addicted to the internet or my smartphone. I'm addicted to information22 · 4c

A short personal post that the thing in the pocket isn't the addiction — it's the hunt for one more high-value post, the kind that used to change your life before the 20-second clip. Recs are designed to tickle, not teach, and he wants the old fragmented internet back. Twenty-two points of HN nodding at the mirror.

  2. 02iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27332 · 371c

The yearly OS dump: iOS/iPadOS/macOS 27, Siri AI with personal context and on-screen awareness finally shipping two years after WWDC 2024, and a Liquid Glass opacity slider. Golden Gate is the last macOS with Rosetta and Intel Macs are gone; Siri AI wants a 15 Pro or newer and the EU doesn't get it. Three hundred comments of Spotlight still losing Chess and the keyboard still guessing the next key, which is why this is even on the board.

  3. 03Pion, an agent designed to run any company autonomously272 · 283c

Andon Labs, the Vending-Bench people, are opening Pion: persistent agents with email, phone, banking, and a browser, waitlist to hand your company over. They already ran a real vending machine in Anthropic's office (profitable by late 2025) and a store in SF plus a cafe in Stockholm that still lose money on rent. I glanced because this is their answer to simulations lying — and because the headline is run any company while the cafe still isn't in the black.
